October 2021 Wrap-Up

October has been a super-busy month for us. We started packing in earnest ready for our move, went to Barbados on holiday, came back, I went to a hen-do and we did lots more packing. We are nearly there with our move and are very, very excited to be in our new home. It's also been a busy reading month as well. I did my first blog Tour over on Twitter and have read a couple of contenders for my Book of the Year. let's get to it shall we?

Books Read and Reviewed in October

Most Popular Post

You all enjoy seeing what books are best to read in order. I do the same. October's most popular post was Katie Fforde Books in Order

5 Star Reads

I've clearly had a rush of blood to the head as I awarded 3 lots of 5⭐️ to The Appeal, Shipyard Girls under the Mistletoe and Ungodly.

Big Read Challenge

Still 15/100 but good news, in November I will be doing a Buddy read of Anna Karenina.

Goodreads Challenge

78/100 books read. It's going to be close.

To Be Read

I'm having to do this off memory because all my books are currently in boxes. By my reckoning I have 30 books to read, breakdown as follows....

  • 9 Kindle Books from 2020
  • 8 Kindle Books from 2021
  • 5 Big Read Books
  • 8 Physical Books

Looking Forward To

As I said at the start of the blog, it's all about moving to our new home. I'm appreciate I'm going to be living out of boxes for a while, but I can't wait to start to make our house all cosy. I'm also going to have a book nook, complete with cosy armchair and side-table for cake and coffee...and maybe a sherry. Heaven!

Also, for fans of Between the Covers, the book show on BBC2, this is back on 10th November with a Booker themed set of books that the panel will be discussing.

I hope October has been good to you. I am signing off now and will hopefully see you the other side from a different house!
