June 2023 Wrap-Up

First of all, thank you to those offering Happy Anniversary wishes. We had an amazing time away with a lovely meal. We saw a view that a beloved local author called 'The Finest View in England' and which has inspired me to re-read his wonderful books.

I have missed doing my wrap-ups so much. It's a great way to look back at my reading and also what I've been up to in the month.

Year to Date

I signed up for the Goodreads reading challenge and so far have read 26/60. Nearly half-way there!

Favourite Book of the Month

There's been some good reads this month, but Miss Clare Remembers was definitely my favourite.

5 Star Reads

Okay, so this is a bit weird, but Emma was my only 5 star read this month, but my favourite read was still the Miss Read.

To Be Read

I had a bit of a sort out of my To Be Read pile, as I cannot cope if it is too many. On my shelves there are *does a quick tot-up* 27 books. That's roughly half a year's reading. Blimey.

Looking Forward To

We have a number of lovely celebrations taking place in 2022. A very good friend celebrates their 40th birthday, which means a lovely weekend in Leeds. We are debating going to watch the Sunderland Triathlon which has moved out of Leeds.

Reading wise, I will be looking forward to reading the author I mentioned above, and some lovely choices on my To Be Read pile. I do hope June has been good for you.
