Susan Cooper is beloved by me and my Sister and I remember us both reading the Dark is Rising at Christmas and being enchanted by this story of an 11 year old boy discovering he is one of the 'Old Ones'.

I've divided the list below by series. I would recommend reading the Dark is Rising sequence in order, but if you did happen to read the Dark is Rising first, then you would be OK as the first novel features different children.
