February 2021 Wrap-Up

And just like that February is over. How quick was that? We've had a nice February, we celebrated a big birthday in our house, enjoyed the snow, started a run plan, saw the first snowdrops and now I feel ready for Spring. So let's wrap up this reading February. But before I do, here's one last reminder about the snow and a very special announcement.

Special Announcement

Over on Instagram I'm so excited to be taking part in a seasonal readlaong based on the books of Rosamunde Pilcher along with a host of smashing people.

The idea is that for each of the seasons we read a Rosamunde Pilcher book based loosely on that season. We are kicking things off by reading Coming Home, a sweeping family saga set in Cornwall against the backdrop of World War 2.

The dates are below for when the book discussions are due to take place.

Coming Home - March 31st
The Shell Seekers - June 30th
September - September 30th
Winter Solstice - December 31st

If you would like to join us over on Instagram, you will need an Instagram account, please leave a comment on my post about the readalong and I can add you to the already very lovely reading group we have.

Books Read and Reviewed in February 2021

5 Star Reads

No five star reads this month, but a couple of 4 stars.

Big Read Challenge

I didn't manage to read any more of the Big Read Challenge, but next month will change that. So I'm still holding at 11 out of the 100 books read.

Goodreads Challenge

I've set myself a challenge over on Goodreads to read 100 books in 2021. So far I've read 16 books this year. Only 84 to go!

To be Read

Well there are just so many. At the time of writing, I have 38 books on my to be read and reviewed pile. I'm planning an extra post next week detailing what I have to read and review mainly to a) hold myself accountable and stop buying books and b) to list what I actually have. At the moment books are dotted everywhere.

Looking Forward To....

Spring! At the time of writing this, there are blue skies and the wind is blowing. Perfect drying weather. The snowdrops have been amazing this year. I am looking forward to reading the next in the #missreadreadalong2021 and will also be starting to read the first in the #rosamundepilcherseasons series. I've also agreed to do a buddy readalong with a very lovely friend of War and Peace by Tolstoy. This is happening people!
